1. Booking & Confirmation

All reservations must be completed through our official website GoCar Tanzania.
After booking, you will receive an instant confirmation email with your rental details.
Our local partner will contact you prior to pick-up to provide instructions and finalize required documents.
Prices shown on the website are final and include all mandatory fees unless stated otherwise.

2. Driver Requirements

The minimum age to rent a car is typically 21-23 years depending on the supplier.
A valid national driving license is required.
An International Driving Permit (IDP) is recommended for non-Tanzanian licenses.
The name on the rental agreement must match the name on the driving license.

3. Payment, Deposits & Cards

Many vehicles are available with no deposit and no credit card required. This depends on the chosen supplier.
If a deposit applies, it may be taken in cash, debit card or credit card depending on the partner’s policy.
Payments for optional extras or insurance may be handled directly at pick-up.

4. Insurance & Coverage

Basic insurance (often CDW or third-party liability) is normally included in the rental price.
Full insurance options (Zero Excess, FDW, Super CDW) may be available depending on the supplier.
Insurance exclusions may apply (off-road damage, interior damage, negligence, speeding violations, etc.).
Any damage not covered by insurance may be charged by the local partner.

5. Vehicle Pick-Up & Return

Pick-up and return locations include major airports, city areas and hotels depending on availability.
The driver must present their documents (license, ID, payment method) at pick-up.
Return must be made at the agreed time and location to avoid late fees.
Fuel policy depends on the vehicle – typically full-to-full or same-to-same.

6. Use of the Vehicle

The vehicle must be driven only by authorized drivers listed in the contract.
Driving off-road, inside restricted zones or in unsafe conditions may void insurance.
Traffic fines, parking penalties or toll fees are the responsibility of the renter.
Smoking inside the vehicle is prohibited and may result in cleaning fees.

7. Cancellations & Modifications

Most bookings can be cancelled free of charge before the rental start time.
Cancellations after pick-up are subject to partner rules and may be non-refundable.
Date or vehicle modifications depend on availability and supplier approval.

8. Responsibilities of GoCar Tanzania

We provide a platform that connects customers with trusted local rental partners.
We are not the direct rental company; the rental contract is signed with the local partner at pick-up.
All operational decisions (deposit, insurance, vehicle condition, damages) are handled by the partner.
We ensure that all vehicle information and pricing displayed on the website are provided by the partner.

9. Customer Responsibilities

Provide accurate personal details during booking.
Inspect the vehicle before driving and report any existing damage.
Return the vehicle in the same condition as received.
Follow all local driving laws and safety rules.

10. Liability

GoCar Tanzania is not responsible for disputes arising from the rental contract between the renter and the local supplier.
Any claims regarding insurance, damages or deposits must be handled directly with the partner.
We act as an intermediary platform to provide transparent access to local rental services.
